1-2cm Dilating???

Question

Are there ways ro help progress to dilated more or no? I know i can be like this for weeks and not go into labor just wondering to progress myself. Its okay not go into labor yet but just help my body so more if that make sense

I was a 3 and 80 percent effaced with my first for a few weeks before being induced. I had preterm labor with my second at 34 weeks and was at 4cm by 35 weeks and then at 38 weeks i was 5cm and fully effaced and not in active labor. I had a membrane sweep (second time) and finally went into full labor a few hours later and had a 3 hour labor. My friend went over due and was barely 1cm dilated the morning she had her daughter so until your body is ready nothing will happen. You can try walking or using a birthing ball

I tried just about everything. I went online and looked and looked and did anything and everything and i stayed the same for weeks then finally doctors said i might as well get induced. Hopefully it works out for you!
