So finally something is happening!! I’m 40+3 today, and starting last night at around 11pm, I started having really painful contractions. We called labor and delivery and they said to come in when they are 3 minutes apart and lasting for a minute for at least 2 hours. I managed to sleep for a couple hours and then woke up and kept having them, as well as my bloody show. We went into the hospital at 5:30 am and when I was checked I was only 1cm and 75% effaced. 😩

So I can home and was able to take a nap, and my contractions seemed to stall. Now they have picked back up and are about 8 minutes apart and a minute long. I’m so confused as to what is happening, and when I’m supposed to go back! They say they won’t admit me until I’m 6cm. The not knowing is killing me!

How did you ladies know when it was the right time to go to the hospital??
