Does Amoxicillin or Macrobid effect Nexplanon?

Question

I asked the pharmacist when taking these, and they said they didn’t know because it wasn’t in their system or something. 
I researched that the only real antibiotics that effect it are stuff used to treat tuberculosis, Saint Johns Wart, and seizure meds. 
Does anyone here know?

Just to be safe, use a back up birth control while taking the antibiotic. It may be safe, but why take the chance if you’re trying to prevent pregnancy.

i’ve used amoxicillin on nexplanon and the mirena coil. i was told it’s safe to use on them
