Vanishing twin?? Any hope??

Question

So I had my first scan yesterday only to find one of my babies is not going to make it.. One of my babies had a heart beat of 167 and measured 8+4 weeks.  The other was an empty sac measuring 2.5 cm.  My heart is broken, and I am so worried about the surviving twin.   Have any of you gone through this ? What was the outcome ?

My best friend did but they saw two babies - one didn’t have a heart beat. Her surviving baby was absolutely fine - pregnancy was perfect and he’s now a healthy 6 month old

My godchild was a triplet. One of the babies didn't make it, the twins are now healthy 6 year olds!

I started out with twins and early on one stopped developing. My other one is doing great though. Just had my anatomy scan yesterday. Currently 19w+5.My bestfriend had the same exact experience too. I try to think of that little one as my little girls guardian angel. I think your little one will be ok.

I had this. The empty sac got absorbed and the baby is healthy! I’m 27 weeks. I had it with my first pregnancy too, one sac vanished and I delivered a beautiful healthy girl at 39 weeks
