Semi-long post.

Today I am 39w6d. Yesterday I had a non-stress test at my OBs office and was having mild contractions on the monitor, a couple were pretty strong. My doctor checks me and I’m 3cm. Told me to go walk around for a couple hours and come back. My husband and I go back and I’ve progressed to 4cm. Yay! Still having contractions. Doctor sent me to the hospital. Get admitted, hooked up, still having contractions. Checked again still at 4cm, no biggie. Told us to walk around more to see if I progress. After 2 hours I’m checked again. STILL AT 4cm 😩 My doctor gave me the option to induce or go home. I chose to go home due to the risks of inducing and my body not responding or baby not handling the contractions and needing an emergent csection. Before I left the hospital, doctor did a membrane sweep. I’ve been having random contractions all night that last about a minute. Feeling so defeated, not to mention tired lol. Every contraction wakes me up. Why is my body so confused?!?!

I have another NST tomorrow (Friday). My baby is already estimating close to 9lbs, so my doctor already told me they will not let me go much past 40 weeks. Any advice on how I can get my cervix to progress naturally? I really want to avoid being induced. I’m staying active, walking, bouncing, squatting, doing pelvic stretches. I’m getting so desperate! Help!
