Anyone else get discouraging news about baby’s arrival? lol

This happened with my first but, had my 40 week appt and was told I went backwards today! Last week baby was fully engaged and dr was confident I would be able to get a sweep today. Well, baby has now gotten higher and not fully engaged and my cervix is still not thin enough for a sweep. 😩 Doctor said another week!! Today is my original due date, Saturday is my modified due date.

I have done all the things to try and get the baby out, but no luck so I’m giving up on the home tricks lol. With my first I was zero progress and 3 days later she was born. So trying not to feel discouraged, but I want to meet this mini human!! He said I can go in Saturday morning for a sweep but it may not work and will be extra uncomfortable because my cervix isn’t ripe enough. Undecided if I will or not.

Anyone else in the same boat? The end of pregnancy sucks!
