So it is Due Date Day!

My little one is deciding to stick it out on the inside for a little while longer... as long as she wants to come out by 41 weeks, I will be happy!

My doula also reassured me by sending me an Evidence Based Birth podcast on Due Dates and Induction. It was super interesting and made my little researcher heart so happy 😀 The podcast is run by a nurse midwife with her PHD and she cites scientific literature.

Basically, due dates using menstrual cycles can be off, but studies using early dating ultrasounds + <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glow.android">tracking ovulation</a> found that average gestation for FTM is actually 40+5 not 40!!!! So for those mamas going a few days over, as long as you and the babe are healthy, don’t stress yet 😀
