I had to schedule my 1 hour glucose test in the afternoon at 1:30pm, I have to wake up at 3am to get ready for work since I have a long commute and early shift. I heard it’s better to fast by midnight, and take the test in the morning, but If mine is in the afternoon am I at least allowed to eat breakfast? How long is the fast? I feel like I won’t be able to function at work once I start if I can’t.

They called and said I was in the 170’s when I should have been in the 130’s (honestly shocked because I never had negative testings before) and failed the 1 hour test and now I have to do the 3 hour test. 😕 really bummed... I finally get to go on vacation tomorrow and now feel like I will worry the whole time if I have it or not.

Did any one else fail the 1 hour and pass the 3 hour fast test? I feel like I got very little information for gestational diabetes and by doing research I’m freaking myself out over it.
