Did you let the crib mattress off gas before putting it in the nursery?

I have 4 kids and only heard of this a couple of months ago. It's just a fancy term for airing it out before putting sheets on it.  You're supposed to let any new mattress air out for awhile before using it.  So yeah just unwrap before you'll use it for your baby and put sheets on it. It can be in the nursery as long as baby isn't in the room.

I think putting it in the nursery without sheets on and opening the window should be sufficient.
