So how do contraction's actually feel?

Thank for this post I am nervous that I’m missing contractions! I’m feeling a lot of tightening but I thought it was the baby? Now I’m not so sure. 38+5 here!

I mean, it differs from person to person. Some don’t feel contractions until they’re super close to giving birth and others get the extreme tightening/pulling pain and super bad period cramp feeling

My actual contractions felt like period cramps that progressively got worse. My Braxton hicks contractions aren't painful and just felt like my belly tightening.

A few days before my water broke, I would feel slight period cramps that would come and go. I didn't know what they were at the time. When I was actually in labour, my contractions just felt like I really had to poop (sorry, not sure how else to say it!). I was having back labour though so I'm not sure if that made a difference as it was my first baby!

Just crazy overpowering feeling. So powerful it exceeds the word pain for me. I froze before each of them coming, but my body did a great job. Went all natural, survived lol, breathing helped me to get through, and knowing I will have a good minute gap between to rest was a miracle. And I will do it again 😁
