Anybody’s LO have low iron levels? Mine has an iron level of 11 and the doctor has put him on iron drops.

My daughter’s iron level was just barely below the level they wanted. So they didn’t give her iron drops, but they gave me a list of foods high in iron. Which, I do my best with but my girl is a picky eater.

When you give them goods goth in iron also give them something with vitamin C it helps the body absorb the iron. Fortified cereal and beans are high iron foods kids like. Also make sure they aren’t drinking too much milk that can cause iron deficiency. Good luck. The drops cause constipation so you may wanna have prunes on standby and plenty of water.

We have our little one on a multivitamin with Iron from Zarbees. We try to mix it with something because it has such a metallic taste to it. We are hopeful at his 18 month check up his levels are where they should be.
