Does pumping milk into the bottle hurt? And does breastfeeding directly hurt?

I’ve never had a baby before so I’m just curious

Everyone I’ve ever asked says it hurts at first. I was curious too. They all said it hurts at first because all the sudden your boobs become someone’s food supply every few hours/constantly getting sucked on so they chap and get sore but later on it’s not painful because the skin gets tougher. Have you ever had braces? The first few weeks, braces rub up against the inside of your lips and it feels like your mouth is constantly being sliced up, but over time the inside of your lips become tougher and don’t bother you anymore..and if it is hurting after the adjustment period something is wrong like a bad latch or clogged duct. 
I’ve seen women breast feed and pump. I’ve probably seen more boobs than my boyfriend because I worked in daycare and one year the entire staff had babies and I Were ALL breast feeding and fully allowed to pump wherever they pleased and were also allowed to feed on demand. One mom came in my room to pump and I was kinda taken back by it. Because you can see through the pump it looked like the pump was sucking her nipple off and it looks painful as hell . But she told me that’s basically what it looks like in the baby’s mouth and you just can’t see it and that it didn’t hurt her at all. She pumped while multitasking and made a comment on how good it felt to get the milk out because your breasts get engorged.

Also when the baby starts teething.. They learn to bite the nipples pretty quickly.
When the breast is too engorged can also be very uncomfortable... And of course what the other ladies already mentioned.

It definitely can hurt at first. And yes pumping can hurt too. If the baby isn’t latched into the breast properly, it will especially hurt. Once you get used to it, it isn’t painful. At least it wasn’t for me. Unless your nipples get dry and crack which is common and really is unpleasant. As well as other issues that can occur like mastitis. I’ve fortunately never experienced that.

Breastfeeding can hurt if the baby isn’t latched on correctly. It also hurt for me in the beginning because i wasn’t used to it but I got used to it within 2 weeks. And pumping never hurt me

Personally it didn't hurt, 
Either pumping or breast feeding but the kid was a good latcher straight away. Saying that, I hated the sensation of it though.

Breastfeeding and pumping never hurt my nipples (Unless they bite) but when you go too long without feeding your breast will engorge and that hurts like swelling/pressure
