Child support spending!?

Hey everybody,

I’ve been separated from my children’s father for about 5 years now. It’s been a LONG dramatic battle with this man. (Abuse) we have a history of domestic violence which he has always caused. He’s always had a huge issue with paying child support. We have 3 kids together. His payments went from 1,400$ a month. Due to his being violent I’ve lowered the payments down to 500$ a month. He just started paying this after working under the table for 2 years in order to evade child support.

He calls me weekly asking about if the payment was received, how much it was for and gives me a list of things I need to buy for the kids. He also requests that I send 10$ with each kid to his house so they can go eat out. So 30$ a week.. he gets the kids 1.5 days out of the week.

Our son is in high school football now. He needs under armor, extra padding, an igloo cooler.. plus the fees I payed 75$.

I also provided ALL three of our children’s school supplies and clothes.

Our 8 year old needed new glasses, so I bought those. And our 5 year old is in weekly dance classes, 100$ a month plus costumes.

I’m just not really sure what rights he should have over the child support he pays. I feel kinda stupid or clueless because I provide 100% and have been struggling badly financially. Now that he’s paying 500$ we have wiggle room but it’s just being dictated and goes so fast.

Should he still meet me in the middle and pay for extra curricular also or is this what the child support is for?
