Not necessarily. Once he was able to roll he’d actually roll to his belly and get super pissed off because he’d get stuck on his belly then and he hated being on his belly. So every time he did it in the middle of the night I had to get up and roll him back over. Once he got older I’d say closer to a year old he started rolling to his belly to sleep and now he’s 2 and still rolls on his belly to sleep.

My daughter didn’t roll to her stomach in her sleep until well after a year old. She could roll but didn’t while falling asleep/asleep until pretty late. She slept well (or at least usually did when not teething, ill, going through a developmental leap, or sleep regression) long before that.

My younger 2 did. They loved sleeping on their bellies. They'd sleep 12-14 hours at night once they figured out how to roll onto their belly when I put them in bed.
