By age 2, was your child able to string together 2-3 word sentences or phrases?

My son is 18 months and since about 15 months he’s been saying things like “hot candle”, “outside please”, “momma pick up?”, “play with that?” Ect. He’s always been very advanced in language though, he had at least 100 words in his vocabulary by 12 months. his pediatrician has always been impressed at how well and clearly he talks. Honestly, every child is different. If you’re concerned just talk to the pediatrician about it.

My eldest didn't start talking until age 3 so for her it's a no! 
My youngest was stringing words together by 18months:
My tummy hurts
Where you go? 
Mommy, I hungry. 
Sissy I love you
Where daddy go?
Crayon is blue (all crayons were blue at that point lol).

She says things like "Here you are." " I want to eat." "I wanna sit down." So not a whole lot of phrases but at least 3 or 4 by 24 months.

😂 my daughter was telling us off by 25 months.
Talking to my daughter, we always referred to her as a big girl (not in the large size sense). There was a girl in her daycare class that was like twice her size though. We had no idea that my daughter was listening, and my husband was telling me how that one girl in daycare was a big girl (in the large size sense). My daughter busts in the room, points her finger at my husband and says “no daddy! Natalie is not big girl, I big girl!” 😂 I burst out laughing.

My son said about three words and shortly after his second birthday he started talking in full sentences. About everything and has been talking non stop for the last 5 years!

My twins were fully verbal and you could hold conversations with them by 16 and 18 months. My younger son didn’t talk at all until shortly after his second birthday when he suddenly just started talking (his first word was mum followed by a complete sentence). It was weird. My infant will be different too. Kids develop at all kinds of rates and as long as your paediatrician doesn’t have concerns I wouldn’t worry.

My son is 19 months and has just started saying a lot more the past few weeks,he will say "Good Morning", "I don't know", "I go" etc.

My son isn't 2 yet but I voted yes because he is 15 months and says thing like "no more" and mama with another word attached that's usually a question so I'm assuming by 2 he'll be stringing a lot more together
