Should I send him to daycare? Or keep him another day?

I took my son in to the doctor yesterday for pink eye and he has it in both eyes. I work at the daycare my son goes to. They are pressuring me to come in today but the doctor gave me a note for yesterday and tomorrow. We started the ointment yesterday but his eyes are still very crusty this morning. They were glued shut when he woke up. Should I wait to send him?

Wait. It’s still contagious if it hasn’t even been 24 hours on medication. I work at a daycare too and if a parent dropped their kid off with pinkeye where the eyes are still crusted shut that kid would be going home ASAP. Just tell them you don’t want him to spread it to all the other kids. I think the other parents will appreciate it.

Definitely. And they shouldn't pressure you when you have a sick child. Stand your ground! Surely they don't want other kids catching it

Don’t take him. If they threaten you, threaten them. They legally cannot make you come to work if you have a doctors note saying it’s contagious.
