Normal grunting?

My 2.5 week old grunts a lot in his sleep. He’s not crying or awake but very noisy. Is this normal??

Yes, mine does too. I found out it's a good thing. It means they are in a very deep sleep which is great.

Yesterday my son started crying hysterically for about 3 seconds while sleeping, but it didn’t wake him. Today I heard him laughing in his sleep. I think it’s normal.

Mine did too. We thought its normal but turned out he has silent reflux. Now he is 7wks old . Better talk to pediatrician if u see he is fussy after feeds and grunts after feedings

I was actually told it’s “normal” but it’s because of gas build up . My daughter does it a lot and once I get all the gas out she stops
