How do you get trichomoniasis?

My husband and I have been together for 13 years before we got married. We been married for 4 years. I have had previous boyfriends before I met my husband and my husband never been with another girl since i was his first.

My vaginal swabs came results came back in saying I had trichomoniasis but the woman acted like she couldn't read it so she is going to have an nurse to call me.

I have been chewing my husband out over this mess and I will be getting him tested,but i was just wondering if recurring bacterial vaginosis can cause trishmonasis because i bathe everyday.

I been freaking out over here!!
