Why does my baby fucking hate me

Question

She’s 5 months old and she cries and whines all day. She cries when I put her in position to nurse. Then when someone else comes and takes her she’s fine and then handed back to me she cries. I already have ppd and my prescriptions keep getting fucked up yhis time my mom lost them and my insurance won’t cover a refill so soon so I’ve been without them for 2.5 weeks. I’m just so fucking tired of this I want a happy baby

Sounds like your ppd is getting the best of you and your baby is feeding off your emotions which they do! You need to breath and asking your dr to prescribe something else instead of what you were on so you can get something in your system to help.

It sounds silly but babies do sense when you're feeling uneasy and stressed. I would suggest maybe seeing if someone can take care of her for a few hours while you have some momma time to just relax. Maybe coming back to your baby refreshed and relax will make her feel more refreshed and relaxed? Just an idea 😊 good luck mama!

Oh honey, your baby doesn't hate you. I know that feeling, trust me. I have a 2 year old that I'm convinced doesn't like me. In reality, he's jealous of the new baby and doesn't know how else to get attention from me. He's also probably picking up on how stressed I am. Babies can sense when you're frustrated or depressed. She's probably picking up on that and it's frustrating her. Also, have you had her checked for a medical condition that could be making her uncomfortable? Like reflux? It'll get better. Just take it one day at a time. ❤❤

I totally feel you, so sorry to hear you’re going through this. My first son had colic and would cry 6-8 hours a day and be up all night crying. It was such a dark time for me. By the time I had my second I just knew all the things that would upset them and was able to realise all the things I was doing wrong. A huge thing was that I was over feeding him (exclusively breastfed) because the only thing that would make him stop crying was the boob. So he’d be literally on the boob all day and would do these enormous vomits because he was way over fed. That would piss him off even more. With second son I’d leave 3-4 hour gaps between feeds then he’d have nice big feeds because he was actually hungry, give him a nice big burp then he’d be able to sleep well because his tummy was full. Also my first baby I was always overdressing him for fear that he’d be cold (I’m always feeling cold) but now I know (he is 4) that he overheats easily and can’t stand feeling hot and rarely keeps a jacket on even in the middle of winter. Things like that... anyway your baby does not hate you, she loves and needs you. And I truly believe you do too. If you ever need to talk, I’m here. Big hugs 💕💕

Sounds silly but babies can read emotions so well, if I'm stressed or in a foul mood so is my baby and that's because he can sense the tension coming from me, if I'm happy and relaxed he is an angel

Maybe you need about of time away to help.  There is no shame in taking a few minutes for yourself.
