38 weeks no dilation or anything?

38 weeks today and I’m not dilated, not effaced, and baby is still high, not engaged at all. 
Anyone have similar experience and went into labor naturally? 
Just had sex this morning with hubby and went for a walk to try to get things moving lol

My water broke at 38w5d and I wasn’t dilated at all and no contractions. They did decide to help dilation w cytotec, and I started dilating and contracting w one dose (instead of the planned three). So yes, I went i to labor naturally, but it was continued with induction medication. I had my baby boy 17 hours later (from water breaking).

I don’t get checked till 40 weeks. Dilation isn’t a great indication of labor being near. With my first I was barely 1cm at 40 weeks, at my 41 week appt I was almost 2cm- had a sweep and contractions started about 12 hours later (1am). I went back to sleep, woke up at 8am - labored at home for as long as possible. I went to the hospital at noon when my contractions were 3 min apart and was 3cm. Had my daughter at 3. I did most of my dilating in the last 3hrs of labor. It’s so different for everyone- some women walk around dilated for weeks others don’t dilate till labor. Hang in there and try not to be discouraged. I’m currently 39 weeks- due next Friday. No idea if I’m dilated yet or not.
