#TTC 1st time planning a baby

Hi everyone. My husband and i have decided to try for another child. I currently have a 3.5 year old daughter. We feel its just right timing. Anyways, ive looked at a couple sources for ovulation calendars and such and i went based upon one and feel like i totally got everything wrong. (Ive also been off birth control for two months now with two periods last month). Anyways, we did it according to that and i don't feel a period or anything. Contacted a friend today and she gave me the info for this app. I have filled in as much info as possible and it says i am 6 days late. Should I just test or wait? TIA
