I had a dvt when I was 22 years old from the yaz birth control pill that was recalled 15 years ago. I am now 35 years old and 4 months pregnant. My doctor suggested I take injects of lovenox once a day for the rest of my pregnancy. Has anyone else done this for prevention of a blood clot that only occurred once. I do not have a clotting disorder or other mutation Gene's that cause clotting. I suggested taking baby aspirin because the blood thinners did not fair well with me when I took them the first time. I am also afraid of the serious side effects they may cause. My doctor has pretty much feared me into taking these injections by telling me I could die after delivery if I dont. I'm fairly active and have had no pain or swelling in my leg. I am beside myself and need some advice as I've been to 3 doctors and only one did not recommend I take the injections but recommend the baby aspirin instead.
