Post Sex Bleeding

My boyfriend and I had sex once yesterday and twice today and there was a little bit of blood post sex yesterday but a lot post sex today. My period was supposed to come in 2 days however he definitely hit my cervix a few times. My cramps are worse than usual is this worth checking out or should I just assume that its my period?
