Sneak peak or gender ultrasound? (Read)

I did sneak peak at 9 weeks, it said boy. I got an ultrasound at 13 weeks, she said she’s 80 percent sure it’s a girl. I go back this week for another ultrasound. What do you think? I thought it was a boy since I was pregnant. So I’m definitely thrown off. 😝🙃

Honestly neither of those are thought to be accurate that early. Most genetic testing isn’t recommended until 10 weeks or later, and even then the ones at home are very notorious for giving false male readings. They’re much more accurate when done in a doctor’s office or lab setting. As far as ultrasound goes, genitalia only develop around 12 weeks and often look exactly the same until 15 or 16 weeks (the female genitalia is often swollen until to the same size as a males) . While obviously it’s either male or female, I would not trust either of those readings with any degree of certainty.

The Sneak Peek tests have had a lot of false boy results. I'd trust the ultrasound more.

My sneak peek was right for me, 9 weeks with a boy. But my ultrasound at 14 weeks confirmed it was a boy. I would just wait and see, and get your money back from Sneak peek if it’s a girl! (They don’t reimburse until after baby is born, but still)

13 weeks is way to early to tell by ultrasound. If you did sneak peak clinical its accurate as its drawn directly from your vein, if you did it at home you have risk of contamination.
