When will baby drop and how will I know?

My bestfriends baby just dropped completely and she’s a week away from her due date!

I never dropped. Gave birth naturally on my due date. 🤷🏼‍♀️

There’s no way to know if and when you’ll drop. Some women dilate before the baby “drops” and then they “labor down” as part of their active labor; this is what happened to me. 
If you drop, per what I hear, because again, I didn’t “drop” with my first, you’ll be able to breath easier/deeper and eat more because there’s more room for your stomach and diaphragm to expand. You may also suddenly experience a lot more pressure on your pelvis.
