Anyone else diagnosed with GBS?
I had never even heard of this until now. I'm so confused.

I personally don't but a good friend of mine has GBS and delivered her baby boy a few weeks ago.
She just had to have antibiotics during labour. Both mum and baby are fine

It's just a bacteria that can be present in you body at different times. Its harmless for you but can make baby sick. It could also not show up if you got swabbed at a different time, my understanding is that it comes and goes... they will give you antibiotics during labor and they may set up an induction date so you dont spontaneously go into labor and if you do, they will tell you to come in and get started on the antibiotics asap.😁

It’s just another money maker! Chances of it spreading is slim to none but because there is a chance for one out of thousands they treat all! Unfortunately they aren’t considering the damage to gut health which negatively affects a child’s entire life! I generally test positive but no longer treat for it! Instead we watch baby for signs after delivery!
