At the hospital
Currently being monitored for contractions. I told my OB I had been having some pretty painful ones of late so they did an NST and decided to go ahead and send me to triage at the hospital. They did a FFN and plan to pump me full of fluids (apparently I’m a bit dehydrated) to see if the contractions stop. Cervix is soft but is closed. I’m only 34w5d so please send positive vibes to keep baby in a little longer! 🤞🏻
Update: Fluids did not help stop the contractions, so they gave me a shot of Terbutaline. That stuff is crazy, I felt so sick, and it unfortunately did not work either. So they gave me oral Procardia. It didn’t stop them, but it made them much less frequent and much less intense. After monitoring for another hour, they checked my cervix and saw no change so they sent me home. I will go back if the contractions start to become more painful/regular, and I have a follow up with my OB in a week. The doctor at the hospital says I will most likely not make it to term, but honestly, I think this was just a scare and he’ll stay cozy until due date. That’s my hope anyway. Thanks for the well wishes guys! Much appreciated. ❤️
