My boss said “after you check your rooms, you can leave.”

Sooo, I checked all of the rooms, took me 15 mins. I was done, I signed the papers and I clocked out.

On the way to my car she said “ARE YOU REALLY LEAVING??” and I said “yes.” And she said “We have two rooms left on the other side, so you shouldn’t leave.” I said “Yes ma’am, I apologize, I just misunderstood you I guess. I thought you said when I checked my rooms then I could leave.” And she said “yeah but we aren’t done now, we have two late check outs so you shouldn’t have left” but I literally checked in with her before I clocked out and she didn’t mention any other rooms and she just made a huge scene in front of 10 people and I feel so embarrassed
