Am I the only one who worries about what my water will break on?

My wife keeps telling me to take it easy on the bed and the sofa. She is scared that my water will break on them. Now I'm just so cautious about where I sit or lay down bc I dont want to make a mess. Lol I know I cant help where or when it happens but its giving me a bit of anxiety. Anyone else?

If it makes you feel better, it only happens outside the hospital in about 15% of pregnancies!

I for some reason have this irrational fear my water will break in public 😂😂 
This thought has never crossed my mind with my four other pregnancies, just this one for some reason lol

Haha! I’ve only had my water break naturally 1 out of 5 (so far). My last I almost had an en caul birth! But my fear has always been while driving on my car seat!

Chances are my bag will need to broken for me again. They had to break mine at 9cm with my first because it just wouldn't budge!

My midwife said only about 10% of women’s water will break before labour, so you’re probably fine. 
I have a water proof cover on my bed right now, because we just bought this mattress lol. My midwife gave me shower curtains from the dollar store to pin onto the bed for labour, so that’s a cheaper option in the mean time if you’re really that worried.

I bought this and have been using since 35 weeks, just in case lol. It’s not that cheap but I’m thinking i can use it again for baby later

With my first, I was 40+5 and no signs of labor but, mine broke on its own when I sat down on the toilet to pee when I got up in the morning (lucky me! Easy cleanup!). We were going to go in that day to be induced anyway so it worked out ok. Lol!

I needed up getting a pad for my bed so if it does break while I’m sleeping all I need to do is wash my sheets. 
I don’t want it to break in public. I feel like that would be so embarrassing.
