Fasting Sugars Tips

Just wanted to pass along a couple tips I have tried over the weeks to lower my fasting sugars. They did not work for me but for those trying to make it work before going on insulin, they may help

-exercise between supper and bedtime

-sleep in a cool room

-have a high protein, low carb snack before bed

-test as soon as you get up and within 8-10hrs of your snack

-relax before bed and even take an Epson salt bath (apparently magnesium can help control hormones)

Finally, do what’s best for you and baby. Sometimes it is out of our control and I am thankful for modern medicine and how it allows us to carry a healthy pregnancy despite complications.

I go on insulin today just for my fasting sugars- wish me luck!
