What state should I live in ?!?!

Question

My husband and I are trying to decide what state we want to live in after he gets out of the military , obviously we have to make sure we have jobs lined up but we want to start researching some states . 
Things we love
-lake/water
-hills/mountains
-lots of trees 
-gun friendly state
If you suggest a state please tell us what you loved or liked about it !!!

Lots of outdoor activities, beautiful scenery, different kind of lifestyle. I’ve lived here almost 2 years and I love it. Even though it gets a little cold. 10/10 recommendations

I live in Arizona. I think we have a pretty diverse state. Very gun friendly. Tons of lakes/rivers/water. 
Flagstaff/Sedona/Show Low have beautiful mountains and trees. Phoenix and Tucson are pretty big cities if you are looking for that. We have some gorgeous deserts as well. Close enough to the ocean if you wanna travel to San Diego, etc.

SO and I are currently planning to move to CO, checks all those boxes you listed and it has a great cost of living, low crime, the people are SUPER friendly (we just did a visit to the area), and it's beautiful scenery wise all the way around. If you visit at all go around Denver and the outlying cities and the down to Colorado Springs. I loved up near Denver but Colorado springs is at the base of a gorgeous mountain. It is such a unique experience to me lol. We hiked at Red Rocks Canyon there to just see what it was like hiking and I am telling you i am in love with that state rn lol

Minnesota has beautiful lakes and nice parks. You can also find jobs easily but only cons are the snow and the cold.

Arizona ... Like in Flagstaff. There's trees mountains (from what I heard), gun friendly state and there are lakes around. And places to hike like in Sedona and Phoenix. Id say Texas that's where me and my husband moved after he got out of the Marines but there aren't many hills it's pretty flat here lol
