Merrick or Marek for a boy?

I want an uncommon name without being eccentric or overboard with the uniqueness.

Marek was high on my list but husband just doesn't love it =\ it's uncommon but easy to pronounce and has Polish roots which was perfect for us lol

I like it. Would definitely spell it Merrick though. Marek might get mispronounced as marr-eck or muh-reck.
