Corpus luteum cyst???

Question

Has anyone had a corpus luteum cyst? Did it cause you pain? What kind of pain? How often? And when did it stop? I am 7 week 2 days and OB says that I have a corpus luteum cyst and is the cause for my sharp pain on one side. The pain is really sharp and sudden.

I have the same thing. It says it helps the pregnancy progress and they usually go away after 12 weeks

Every one should have a corpus luteum cyst. It’s where your fertilised egg came from and stays there producing progesterone until your placenta takes over.

We all have them, but yes mine has caused some pain on my right side in my back. Ultrasound confirmed that’s where i ovulated and where the cyst is. Its just a crampy, achy type of pain for me, and it’s intermittent. I’m 10 weeks, and its getting less frequent now.

I could be wrong but I am pretty sure we get those when we ovulate.
