Braxton’s or contractions?¿

I know I’ve been having Braxton’s, but today I’ve noticed even while I’m walking I’ll get cramping and the sharp lightning crotch. I had an appt Wednesday and I’m 36+1, the dr said her head is down and ready but I am not dilated yet. Am I having contractions?

Answer

Labor contractions you will feel at the top of your abdomen. The lightning and Braxton Hicks typically go hand in hand at this stage but if all your tightness is still low in your tummy they are not true labor contractions yet. Good luck 👍🏻 😊
