Letters and gifts from your ex, keep or dump??

I was just cleaning out everything and found letters from my ex and the jewelry he had bought me, what do you all do with this stuff? Keep it? Throw it away? I’m in a new relationship and my ex is the very last thing on my mind but I’m just curious what everyone else does with these items?

I got rid of nearly everything but I didn’t have a lot of gifts. I kept the practical ones (a pair of mocassins that I don’t associate with the ex at all) and donated the rest (even jewelry). But I don’t think I was too attached to anything so it wasn’t hard to get rid of.

If something in particular means a lot to me, I'll keep it for awhile. 
But I don't keep stuff I don't use for the most part in general.

My ex never got me anything, I used to buy the vast majority of stuff while I was with him so I just took it with me when I left

I got rid of all my stuff the second he walked away from me. I had a necklace he bought me that I loved, I obv didn’t want to keep it because it was not right especially for my fiancé... so I gave it to my little cousin.. it’s just jewellery to her.

I was just thinking of this. I still have pictures, videos, and things from my ex but he is also my child’s father so we still communicate. I know in my head that we won’t be back together but my heart is so nostalgic. I’m in a new relationship but it’s hard for me to get rid of.
