How much is your 14 week old eating? My son was in the 83% for weight at 2 months and 10% for height. We had a rough go at breast feeding and he was almost admitted to emergency for jaundice. He lost lots of weight at the beginning so he now bottle feeds formula and breastmilk.

My problem is that i don’t know how much he should eat. Right now he gets 5-6 oz every 1.5 to 4 hours (majority is 2 hours). If I try to give him a little less he fusses for a few seconds and then stops but if I give him 5 to 6 oz he will sometimes spit up. On average he eats 40 oz + a day. ( in the last couple of weeks anyways) Today he is already at 42 and we probably have 1 more feeding left before he is down for the night. I’m concerned he is being over fed but I seem to be the only one.

My fiance just pops a 6oz bottle and closes his eyes most of the time so he doesn’t look for signs of baby being full. His solution for a fuzzy baby is to just feed him. Which i also don’t always agree with.

Is this normal? I thought 32 oz a day should the most a baby can eat a per day?
