I’ll probably be somewhat of an unpopular opinion but I don’t think it’s inappropriate. but I also don’t think it’s right for people to call people of color “ghetto” “nappy” when they wear these hairstyles but praise when white women wear them. A good example of what I’m talking about is when Kylie Jenner or Kendall wear box braids and they get called gorgeous but a person of color wears the same hairstyle and it gets called “ghetto” and I can see why people of color get annoyed when non-people of color wear the same hairstyles they get shamed for. There is a double standard there that a lot people willingly ignore.

I think that's kind of hypocritical that's like if a different race was to post do you think it's inappropriate and black people put relaxer in their hair and straightened it Etc come on now anybody can wear braids anybody can wear twist anybody can wear straight hair anybody can have curly hair this is the stuff that starts problems

There’s definitely a difference between styling your hair and impersonating/making fun of another race. It’s all about your motives 💕 if your heart is in it for love, then have at it! Shave it, braid it, gel it, whatever! As long as you aren’t trying to be someone else
