Fetal hiccups indicate a problem with the pregnancy ??

I just read an article about fetal hiccups being a sign, indicating that there’s a problem within the pregnancy. Has anyone heard of this?? Is this really true?? I think the hiccups have to be often and consistently.

Two out of my three babies had hiccups constantly throughout the day and night every day. All are perfectly healthy.

Nope. I was told it actually helps their diaphragm to develop. It's normal, and even healthy.

It’s normal. It’s because they are practicing their breathing.

The only thing to worry about is if they have the hiccups for a LONG time nonstop because it COULD indicate an umbilical cord problem. Hiccups are perfectly normal. 😊

Mine hiccups several times a day, every day. It's normal, but depending on her position, can be annoying lol.

Not true my daufhter had hiccups all the time she even had hiccups when i was in labor 😂 and she is healthy as can be now 23weeks pregnant and baby gets hiccups really often she even got hiccups during the anatomy scan and tech was laughing don't worry that much but if you are still concerned ask your ob about it 😊

Its a sign they have healthy lungs apparently. Only string lungs can create good hiccups x

If it was all my babies should be very unhealthy. My babies had hiccups 3 or 4 times a day lol

Most babies have hiccups and it’s normal. Very, very rarely, if a woman is having very frequent hiccups or hiccups that are lasting a long time, it could be an indication that the baby is actually having seizures.  But this is VERY rare and the vast majority of the time, baby having hiccups is normal.
