Beta after iui?

Hi everyone. First month of fertility treatments. Don’t know what to expect. I did a version of clomid, 
IUI, and I’m on progesterone. Have my beta next Thursday. Is the pregnancy test/beta the same as for IVF? Will I get a number and do those numbers need to increase? Will they call me that day with those numbers? I thought it would just be a yes/no pregnancy test? Please help!

The beta test will tell you your actual level of hcg in your blood which is much more accurate than a yes/no pregnancy test. That's about as far as I know as I'm still waiting to do my iui. I think it would depend on what your level is to decide whether or not they will do a second draw. It might be your office practice to always do a second draw. Some offices dont do a beta test at all unless you have a hine pregnancy test show up positive.
