Anybody sprained their ankle before?

Question

I sprained my ankle almost a day ago and it got so swollen and it still hasn’t gone down do you guys think I should go for x rays? Doctor told me I maybe was fine but now it’s super purple I’m really concerned

I’d go in to get it looked at by a different doctor.

I would.  I have sprained both mine so many times.  I had one that look like that after an hour and my doctor had me see a specialist because he thought it was broken. It wasn’t. Thankful.

Get a second opinion, you never know if you actually tore something. I damaged my MCL skiing and didnt go to the dr until maybe a week later, the dr didnt care and I was in a knee brace for 6 months. Its been years and my knee is still kinda weak and easily gets agitated. I wish my dr then would have helped me more.
