On and Off the pill this Summer now TTC

Ok so I got married in mid June of this year and went on the pill, shorty after I had horrendous side effects and negative symptoms. My hubby and I decided to come off the pill in early/mid August. I was supposed to start at the end of that week (went off the pill Monday of that week) and I still haven’t gotten my period but I’ve tested and got a negative result. I’m confused!! Is it still the birth control hormones cycling out of my system still? I’ve always suffered from irregular periods but as I’ve gotten older they’d evened out some.
