First miscarriage

I'm 33 and have had 2 successful pregnancies back in 2007 and 2008. I found out at the ER on August 23rd after having severe cramps that I was experiencing a miscarriage.

I made an appointment with my OB the following week and the ultrasound showed that everything was out of my uterus and the blood etc was just hanging in my cervix and I should end up passing the rest of it.

Well I am still bleeding and passing tissue and what not. Is it normal for it to last this long?
