Any tips?

Tonight’s my first night training as a server. Well by myself. I’m nervous bc it’s gonna be busy and I don’t feel well prepared but if I’m honest with the guest telling them I’m still learning hopefully I still get a good tip and they won’t get upset. I’m not clueless but don’t feel 100% confident..

I’ve been serving for years and I always find that if you are honest, most people are extremely understanding and tip more. Good luck!

I was a server for over 15 years.  Just smile at everyone and tell them it’s your first night so to bare with you. Most people are very understanding and you will most likely make great money!
Try not to get overwhelmed. If you get a new table but have to take an order or bring out food first just make sure to acknowledge them and let them know you will be right over. People don’t usually mind waiting a bit if they feel like they’ve been seen.
Good luck and have fun!  It’s a hard job but you can make great money.

I agree with the others just be honest and have fun with your customers. I’m working tonight as a server and I’m hoping it’ll be busier than the past two nights. You can make good money serving
