Previous steroid use and low sperm count

So I have known that my husband was a steroid user since he was like 17 years old and he is now 26. He has been off steroids for over a year now but He was recently diagnosed with VERY low testosterone and we have not had the best of luck with conceiving. 6 months into trying we fell pregnant but I suffered a missed misscarriage ( the sac was present, but no baby) we think it was due to low sperm quality. He is going to start taking HCG to hopefully boost his natural testosterone, hopefully this will help us become pregnant faster this time and hopefully the baby will stick. Has anyone ever had a similar issue and had success ?
