As Caitlin said it's best to have sex those days, bur I will always remember a post I saw on here that said she had done that so many times, she used OPKs and did the 3 days, she was looking back at her logs and saw of all the times they tried of all the combinations they tried of sex before & after she realized they never did 3 days before O so she timed it and did 3 days before, that was the month she got pregnant! Everyone is a little different so don't worry if you didn't get it perfect because maybe that's what you needed!

For me, the two most critical days were the day before and day of. I conceived all 3 times this way and on months that I didn't I never had luck. Of course timing can get really tricky, especially with work schedules or other kiddos, so my Dr said if there were only three days in the month to bd, make sure it's day of peak, day after (which is likely ovulation day) and day after that.
