Weed smell in new apartment

We just recently moved into a new apartment in Winston Salem, NC. I have seen people smoking in front of my apartment and I smell it every single day inside my apartment. Typically I wouldn’t care. What people do is what people do, but now that I’m pregnant I can’t stand the smell. I gag when I smell it and have no idea how to address it.

My stepmother said to make an anonymous police call and see what happens because they have to respond to everything.

The leasing office told me I have to call the cops because they can’t since they aren’t witnessing it.

I just fear retaliation and used to smoke it so I don’t wanna be a hypocrite. I don’t know who exactly is smoking it since my building has 10 different units.

I just need advice on how to address it before my morning sickness really kicks in and I’m constantly throwing up from the smell.
