Birth Story
Our baby Eva arrived on 6 Sept at 9:07 pm. I was 40wks 1day and she weighed 9lbs 3oz and is 20in long. I started having mild contraction that felt like period cramps around 12 am and they kept getting stronger. Luckily I made the call to my mom who drove 4 hours to come watch our 3 year old. We headed to the hospital around 7:30 am when I arrived I was only 2 cm. I laboured on my own until I hit 4 cm and got the epidural and they broke my water. I got to 6 cm and everything stalled I needed oxytocin to help me dilate and babies heart rate was getting high. Luckily things sped up and when it was time to push I pushed through 2 contractions and she was out. No tearing or stitches needed! Right now she is having photo therapy to help with jaundice because her and I have different blood types which caused some problems. I can’t wait for my little babe to be out of this incubator and take her home. ❤️❤️
