Any woman out there a stepmom while also trying to conceive their first child?

Is anyone a stepmom and also trying to conceive their first child? I have been married to my husband for almost a year but been together for several years.  I love, love, my stepson but sometimes I feel like my husband doesn't understand what a step parent goes through. His ex had A BABY with him,  something I yet to have with him.  It's a different kind of intimacy. I just want to know if anyone feels the same?

Yep! I have a stepdaughter that I love immensely but I definitely want to experience all the stages I missed with her... seeing my husband go through pregnancy, birth, etc with me is something I’m really looking forward to!

Yes, I'm a stepmom to two girls, age 14 and 8. We don't see the 14 year old very often, but get the 8 year old every second weekend and holidays, so I've developed a motherly bond with her, but nothing can compare to wanting my own baby. I think a lot of people think I'm set because at least I have stepkids. I love them a lot, but I want one of my own so much. Also, their moms are a huge part of their life, so they'll never call me mom or anything.

WHY YES THIS IS EXACTLY how I feel especially going through a miscarriage with my husband. Ever since my miscarriage, having my stepson around drives me insane. I just want to be my husbands baby mama!

I have an answer from the other side of the fence, I’m the one with the kid and hubby has no bio kids. We’ve been trying and only had one Mmc over a year ago. He’s the more frustrated one and thinks I don’t understand because I have a kid. I do understand because I want a baby with my husband, that intimacy you were talking about. Maybe try to communicate that to him however you think he’ll understand it. Hugs and baby dust to you.

Yeah, I’m a stepmum. Although me & my partner have a kid now and I have kids to my previous partner it’s still very hard to try for a kid known it’s happened before.

Also, we totally have arguments about how hard it is to be a step parent bc he doesn't understand. I went on a field trip with my step daughter and she yelled out to her friends who called me her mom "She's not my real mom!!" Like 5 times. She was trying to be goofy and funny but it hurt my feelings. It made me feel like I'm never gonna be a "real mom." 😭 
& Before someone comments.. she does call me her step mom & I met her very young to where she doesn't remember me not being there. But she does not call me mom. So that's why she was saying that I'm not her real mom.. and she was yelling it to be funny.

I used to but I love all my kids equally. My husband is 30 and I was the first one to get him to put a ring on it. Lol

Yes, i have an 8 year old stepson whilst TTC. It’s difficult when you want your own child too, and at the moment my stepsons mother is pregnant so it’s difficult watching her go through that and hearing the excitement from him about having a new brother. It’s good to hear other people are in this situation.
