Anyone Quit Their Job?

Question

Has anyone quit their job due to pregnancy? I'm 16 weeks pregnant and been diagnosed with hyperemesis gravardium, as well as anemia. I really struggle to function when at work, especially as I'm not keeping food/fluids down properly. Me and my partner have discussed me quitting and he is the one who actually suggested it. I just don't see the point continuing when I take a few days off every couple of weeks. 😪

I kind of quit/got fired a few days ago. I had an important doctors appointment that I could not miss or reschedule. I asked my boss if I could come in right after it and they said no. I couldn’t find anyone to cover for me until I could get there. I had also made the appointment before our scheduled came out. I just didn’t go in that morning. Wrong, I know. But I believe the health of myself and my child are more important than a job I HATE. I am now so grateful not to have to worry about having a job because my morning sickness is getting worse. Once it goes down and I get my medication for it, I will start working again.

I stopped working around the end of my second trimester. It got way too hard on me. I give big props to all the women who work all the way up to their due dates!!

Yes I quit but mostly because my symptoms in the first trimester made it impossible for me to work. I actually had a car accident because I was pushing myself past the limit. 
We don’t have much money but we’ve agreed I will be a stay at home mum and/or maybe find work I can just do from home.

I was a flight attendant so I had to quit due to severe morning sickness well into my 2nd trimester and flying and morning sickness did not mix. So I just went back to doing hair which was great because I make my own schedule and I actually make more money doing hair than I did as a flight attendant. I just loved the lifestyle lol

I didn’t quit until 2 months before baby was due with my first and this time I want to quit so freaking bad, but I’m trying to hold out until baby’s due date

I was wrongly fired and can’t do anything about it 
(Walmart pharmacy) 
They fired two floating pharmacists, too, but I’m sure they have the means to back themselves in a case. 
I haven’t even considered returning to work after baby. I stayed with my daughter (almost 7) for three, almost four years. 
Some days, I feel burnt on how I was treated and how they lied, some days I see it as a blessing in disguise. 
(Technicians in training have their hours separated from those not in state training. I was fired because they “couldn’t promise hours that weren’t available as they needed other technicians to get hours too”...which shouldn’t have effected mine.)

I was a freelance designer and had to stop for several months. I was spending so much more time in the bathroom than in my office it just wasn't worth it, nor fair to clients as my turnaround time suffered. We're fortunate that we're ok with just my hubs income for me to stop.

I’ve switched to all freelance work mostly through upwork. I can take projects as I can handle them.  It’s a site for artists, video editors, graphic designers ect. Depending on what you do you may be able switch to a similar set up that allows you flexibility. 
If you teach you could tutor or nanny instead ect. Care.com is a good way to pick up odd jobs too, or uber or DoorDash. It’s not glamorous but it’s something to get through the hardest months.

I quit when I found out I was pregnant. But that was also because they wouldn’t let me have a day off (first time in a year) for a family emergency. So I said F them. Plus my husband makes enough so I haven’t worked in 3 years now.
