Someone provide me advice

I saw my midwife yesterday at 39.1 & she said i was already 3 cm dilated, she gave me a sweep anyway and said she could stretch me to 5cm!

I had contractions all day starting from 5 minutes apart lasting 40 second then ended up being 3.35 minutes apart lasting 50 seconds

I went to bed to rest abd woke up this morning with no contractions..

Its been almost 24 hours since my sweep and i dont understand why they are coming and going

What can i do to help speed things up?
